It was such a pleasure having Kimiko host a cooking demonstration for our group of 20 people. She was incredibly engaging and enthusiastic about Japanese cooking and culture. It was very interesting learning how to make fundamental components of popular Japanese dishes such as dashi stock and sushi rice, which can be used in a wide variety of other dishes such as miso soup, sushi rolls or Kimiko’s family favourite: chirashizushi. Not only did she share her personal connection to the dishes but also the cultural influence too. All the dishes that she prepared and demonstrated were delicious and the feedback was excellent! She was great to work with and very reliable. I look forward to learning more from Kimiko’s classes and would highly recommend her!

I recently took Kimiko’s Japanese Cooking class through Cook Culture with a group of mom’s from the school and we had so much fun. Kimiko Makes the class relaxed and fun but at the same time is thorough and informative. She did a great job of demonstrating what we would make and then spend the majority of time helping us with hands on preparation. Not to mention…we were cooking in a state of the art kitchen with the finest ingredients surrounded by every cooking gadget possible. My favourite part, however was the we got to sit down after we cooked and eat our creations! I left the class feeling very knowledgeable and full from all the delicious cuisine. I think my favourite was the gyozas. I’m sure I had at least 20! I would highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn about Japanese cuisine, as Kimiko has extensive knowledge about this, or just to someone who wants to have some fun with a friend or group of friends. Doing the Sushi Class was so amazing. I loved learning how to make the Sushi and ate it several evenings after the class for dinner. I loved how prepared and organized Kimiko was. If I could I would do the class again. Kimiko was very patient when we were struggling and now we all know how to make delicious sushi!

I really enjoyed the Japanese cooking class and learned how to make tasty gyoza and cucumber mango rolls. My favorite thing to make was the tofu smoothies, as they didn’t sound good as first but ended up being the best smoothie I ever tasted.
